Gridiron Safety Standard

At The Gridiron CRIB, player health and safety is not an afterthought, it is the foundation of everything we do. Our goal is simple and non-negotiable: every athlete who steps on our field leaves in the same condition they arrived, physically and mentally.

To uphold that standard, we have built our program around proactive protection, not reactive response.

We have partnered with leading experts in athlete health and safety to ensure our players are protected not only in the moment, but for their long-term well-being. Through these partnerships, every athlete benefits from advanced safety protocols, including baseline concussion testing and ongoing medical oversight.

Unlike most flag football leagues, we do not treat safety equipment as optional. All athletes are required to wear approved protective headgear during participation. This is a deliberate decision rooted in data, responsibility, and our commitment to doing what is right, not what is easy.

Our safety approach includes:

• Mandatory protective headgear for all athletes

• Baseline concussion testing and medical partnership oversight

• Background-checked and trained coaches and staff

• Structured gameplay with certified officials

• Ongoing evaluation of safety protocols and equipment standards​

 

We hold ourselves to a higher standard because our athletes deserve it. Parents trust us with more than a registration fee, they trust us with their children. We take that responsibility seriously.
